skulled

    We threw eyes in the attic,
    cross the beams and the flood,
    cradled softly in racket,
    you had mustered enough;
    -
    sworn the seas to your saddle,
    swerve a blue pedalling,
    stem the bleed, such a natal
    swim, settle in.
    -
    Tamed a breaststroke to nuance,
    float in plenty of arms,
    but a pillow, your parents
    keeled in charm and in dark.
    -
    Dry to whiter than skin tone;
    my skull was showing,
    met in warmth of our blood
    (shown to scalp me), flowing.
    -
    And in crosses, in raptures,
    you came after me,
    but in collapsing of rafters,
    you made me sorry.
